Litir Chumhdaigh

I am a resident in Clondalkin village, my children attend local schools in the village.

Observations

opening a through way from the GAA club into Floraville will negatively impact hte estate and will not improve permeability

Opening a through way from the GAA club into Floraville will negatively impact the estate and will not improve permeability, it is longer to go through the estate (372m) than to go along Monastery Road(354m). The existing permeability route marked in orange along Floraville Avenue isn't an existing route, where is it going to? very misleading! to go from Knockmeenagh lane through Floraville will save 22m (921m vs 943m)  but will upset all the residents.

I believe opening these routes would encourage anti social behaviour in the estate for no actual benefit. there is currently a through way from the Avenue into Colaiste Bride but it is only open during school hours, if this was to change to always open it would negatively impact the residents of the estate but not benefit the school going children.

Príomh-thuairim:

opening walkways through Floraville estate will not reduce walking distances but will negatively impact the residents bringing unnecessary pedestrian access into the estate leading to anti social behaviour.

Príomh-iarratais:

do not open walkways through Floraville Estate.

Main reasons:

no benefit in access to anywhere and will badly impact residents.
