I am proposing the Inclusion of bike rental and repair points in and around Corkagh Park. There is already a cycling culture among Clondalkin youth which I believe needs to be fostered and further promoted among diverse age groups. This would be of benefit in buffering heavy traffic which threatens old buildings and infrastructure, not to mention reducing carbon footprint and pollution in the local area. With the development of Clonburris around Corkagh Park, we are already beginning to see growing traffic congestion which will become unsustainable without alternative commuting options. Cycle paths need to be part of the planned infrastructure in this respect.
