I strongly agree and support retaining St Edmundsbury, Lucan, as 'High Amenity Lands'. My position on this important matter is for the following reasons;
Retaining this status complies with the National Planning Framework- enhance amenity, preserve heritage, transition to a climate resilient society.
The NPF emphasises the importance of high-quality "sense of place" and community well being. This was demonstrated during the recent COVID-19 Pandemic where these Lands served as an absolute Godsend for Locals to use.
Compliance with National Planning Framework- green infrastructure aligns with NPFs focus on biodiversity, climate action, natural capital.
If the Lands were to be developed it would irreversibly sever ecological corridors and damage the landscapes integrity.
Thank you
