Objection to the rezoning of lands at St Edmundsbury Lucan

I am in support of the elected members decision to reject the proposed residential rezoning of the lands at St Edmundsbury and to retain their existing High Amenity Zoning.

I think the retention of the current status of St Edmundsbury is not only of local importance it would be in tune with the national policy of making provision for the conservation and management of landscapes that contribute to biodiversity, flood water attenuation and carbon capture. 

If we do not meet EU carbon reduction targets we possibly face fines of up to €25 billion. It just doesn't make sense to build on what is an area with such huge potential as St Edmundsbury.
