Mayor Ed O'Brien has opened this online Book of Condolence to allow people within South Dublin County to express their sympathies to the family of Ruth Morrissey.
Mayor O'Brien said, “This weekend we received the sad news of the passing of Ruth Morrissey. Ruth came to public prominence due to the awful circumstances surrounding her cancer diagnosis. She was forced to take on the State in Court in a manner which no one should have to face and in her death we should honour the work she did during her lifetime to assist others who have to bear the same hardship she faced.”
The Council will share these messages with the Morrissey family after we close the Book of Condolences on Monday, 3 August.
