Pre-Draft Consultation on the County Heritage Plan and Biodiversity Action Plan

South Dublin County Council is commencing a pre-draft consultation process to prepare the County’s first Biodiversity Action Plan and to review and update its current County Heritage Plan 2010-2015. The new County Heritage Plan and the County Biodiversity Plan will be six-year programmes, listing a range of agreed objectives and actions to address matters of heritage and biodiversity interest across South Dublin County. It is an opportunity to identify and address heritage and biodiversity issues at a local level while working within a regional and a national framework. Interested individuals and groups are invited to take part in the process by submitting written comments through this portal.

Closing Date for Submissions is 4:00pm, 13th May 2016.

Late submissions will not be accepted. The current County Heritage Plan 2010-2015 and information brochures for the current joint heritage and biodiversity plans consultation process are available on this portal and to view at the following locations:

  • at the Council’s Planning Counter, County Hall,Tallaght (9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday)
  • at the Council’s Clondalkin Civic Centre (9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.30pm on Friday)
  • and in all branches of South Dublin County Librariesduring library opening hours.
