Special Speed Limit Byelaw
Proposed Changes to R 136 - Kishogue Train Station
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 199 (1) of the Local Government Act 2001, as amended, and Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, in the interests of road safety, SDCC propose to make a Special Speed Limit Bye-Law, in respect of the R136 in the vicinity of Kishogue Train Station.
It is proposed to introduce a 50km/h special speed limit on the R136 from Ballygaddy Road Junction southwards for a distance of 970m to a point 50m south of the roundabout into the existing Kishogue Station park and ride.
It is proposed to introduce a 60km/hr special speed limit on the R136 from a point 50m south of the Kishogue park and ride Station roundabout southwards for a distance of 520m to a point 50m south of the Grange Castle Business Park roundabout.
A copy of the draft Special Speed Limit Byelaw is available to view during the said period at County Hall, Tallaght and Clondalkin Civic Offices and may also be viewed on South Dublin County Council’s Public Consultation Portal website http://consult.sdublincoco.ie
Submissions
Submissions and observations can be made as follows;
On South Dublin County Council’s Public Consultation Portal website http://consult.sdublincoco.iesubmissions close at midnight 25th January 2024.
In writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads Department, Land Use, Planning and Transportation, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, to be received on or before 5.00pm on Thursday 25th January 2024. Submissions should be clearly marked “Kishogue Train Station - Speed Limit”.
Submissions and objections should be made in one Medium only and will only be accepted in either format outlined above.
Submissions and observations should state the name, and where relevant, the body represented. All comments submitted, including the names of those making comments, will form part of a report to be presented to South Dublin County Council, and will form part of a public document.
