Objection to proposal to reduce parking along the Main Street Clinic Lucan
To whom it concerns,
I object to any reduction in car parking on Main Street Lucan as it will be prejudicial to Lucan residents availing of essential local services such as the Main Street Clinic, the Pharmacy and the Centra, especially older, less able-bodied persons in addition to those with very young families.
Accessing these services is already challenging enough with the very high pass-through traffic problem in the village that there seems to be no appetite to address.
It is concerning that SDCC believes spending tax payers money on turning Lucan village into a cycle-to destination for 'coffee and cakes' visitors (which is essentially a Saturday or Sunday affair for most people) is more important than supporting the continuation of the village as a place of both business and leisure for Lucan residents, seven days a week.
