I support Proposed Material Alteration 6.1 retaining the High Amenity zoning at St Edmundsbury.

Sustainable planning means considering environmental systems alongside development needs. The existing High Amenity lands contribute to biodiversity, natural drainage, climate resilience and the wider green infrastructure network serving Lucan. 

While housing accessibility is an important consideration, it should not automatically outweigh the long-term environmental function of these protected lands. 

Retaining the High Amenity zoning represents a balanced planning decision that protects important environmental assets while allowing future housing growth to be directed towards more appropriate locations
