Finnstown Castle

I support the decision of the Elected Members to reject the proposed residential rezoning of Finnstown Castle and to retain the existing OS – Open Space zoning.

I also object to any future attempt to rezone or alter the designation of these lands for residential or any other non-amenity use. Lucan has taken more than its fair share of new housing and the traffic situation is already at breaking point. 

I trust that the Planning Authority and South Dublin County Council will listen to the community, reject this alteration, and permanently retain the existing open space zoning.
