Support for Retaining Open Space at Finnstown Castle

I support Amendment Reference 3 because it retains the Finnstown Castle lands as Open Space (OS) by removing the proposed residential zoning. These lands are an important green space for the local community, providing valuable habitat for wildlife while preserving the area’s unique landscape and heritage. Protecting this land from future housing development will safeguard an irreplaceable environmental and community asset for current and future generations. I believe keeping these lands as open space is the right decision for both residents and biodiversity.
