MA FINNSTOWN CASTLE

I am writing this document in support of retaining the land at Finnstown and surrounding area as a greenbelt and invaluable nature reserve.

I have lived in Lucan for over 30 years and I’ve witnessed its growth from a village on the outskirts of Dublin to becoming part of Dublin itself. Although it’s essential to cater for the growing demand for housing a sense of balance must be maintained in order to create a healthy living environment. Future development of living spaces in the greater Dublin area must conserve areas such as Finnstown. The destruction of this zone  would be tantamount to a crime.
