Finnstown

I urge the planners not to grant planning permission to develop the lands at Finnstown as suggested.  They should be left as they are, for the sake of wildlife, biodiversity and green infrastructure.  It is an opportunity for an amenity for those living in the now built up area to have access to a park or facility for the benefit of everyone. 

Lucan has been extremely overdeveloped and schools / creches / roads / GP services /  transport have not been able to keep up.  It would be a mistake to develop the rare areas of natural beauty that are left in the area.  The Newcastle Road is already a nightmare for traffic and that's with several new estates yet to be finished.  It is just too built up for the infrastructure that's there, and we need more areas for wildlife, biodiversity, climate and leisure.
