Saving Finnstown Castle Lands

I strongly support retaining the Finnstown Castle lands identified in MA3.1 as High Amenity land.

This area represents the sole remaining undeveloped natural space between the Newcastle Road roundabout and Adamstown, serving as a vital environmental buffer in a region experiencing rapid growth. Preserving this open land is essential.

Lucan requires places that preserve its unique character and heritage while offering residents opportunities to connect with nature and enjoy outdoor recreation.  This is really important to people’s mental health as well

Protecting the Finnstown Castle grounds is vital to securing that vision.
