South Dublin County Council is bringing forward plans for a new residential and community development on lands adjacent to Rathcoole Park. This proposal is the result of extensive site studies and design process aimed at balancing the need for local housing with the protection of our natural environment. By identifying and respecting key ecological sensitivities from the outset, we have shaped a design that preserves existing habitats while delivering essential infrastructure.
The proposed scheme includes approximately 130 new homes alongside significant community assets, including new playing pitches, a park pavilion, and changing rooms. Designed to foster a mixed, sustainable, and inclusive community, the development provides a range of housing options for a broad range of people and families. We invite you to review the design and help shape the future of this development.
