Closed13 Jul, 2020, 10:47am - 27 Jul, 2020, 11:59pm

Mayor Ed O'Brien has opened this online Book of Condolence to allow people within South Dublin County to express their sympathies to the family of Jack Charlton, legendary English footballer and manager of the Republic of Ireland.

Mayor O'Brien expressed his admiration for Big Jack when opening this book, "Jack Charlton brought great joy to the people of Ireland during his time in charge of the Irish football team and his success with the team brought interest in soccer in this country to new levels and inspired young footballers, including some from South Dublin County, to go on to emulate their achievements in representing Ireland. It is fitting therefore that we pay tribute to him by opening this Book of Condolences."

The Council will share these messages with the Charlton family, after we close the Book of Condolences on Monday, 27 July.

The closing date has passed and submissions are no longer being accepted.
