Public Consultation for Draft Road Traffic (Periodic Special Speed Limit) Amendment Bye-Law 2018

 

30 Kilometres on a Section of Lucan Road (R835)

 

South Dublin County Council proposes to make a bye-law for a periodic special speed limit of 30 kilometres on a section of the Lucan Road (R835) from a point 1 metre south west of public lighting pole No. 40 adjacent to the entrance to Esker Lawns in a north easterly direction to a point 12 metres east of public lighting pole No. 16 adjacent to Roselawn, in the administrative county of South Dublin.

 

This bye-law shall come into operation on the 1st November 2018 and shall be effective from 8.00 a.m to 9.30 am and from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m on dates which are in accordance with the Department of Education & Skills school year, the Standardisation of the School Year document and at times specified locally.

 

The draft bye-law and associated map are available for inspection from Tuesday 17th July 2018 until Wednesday 15th  August 2018, both dates inclusive at:

between the hours of 9am to 5pm,  Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on Friday (excluding bank holidays).

The documents will also be available for inspection at Lucan Library, Unit 33, Lucan Shopping Centre, Newcastle Rd, Lucan, Co. Dublin, on http://consult.sdublincoco.ie and on www.speedlimits.ie.

 

Submissions

Submissions and observations on the proposed bye-law can made as follows;

  • On South Dublin County Council’s Public Consultation Portal website http://consult.sdublincoco.ie up to midnight Wednesday 15th August 2018.
  • In writing to the Acting Senior Executive Officer, Roads Department, Land Use, Planning and Transportation, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, to be received on or before 5.00pm on Wednesday 15th August 2018.  Submissions should be clearly marked “Road Traffic (Periodic Special Speed Limit) Amendment Bye-Law 2018”.

Please make your submission by one medium only.  Only submissions received as set out above will be considered.  Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other postal address.

 

Submissions and observations should state the name, address and where relevant, the body represented. All comments submitted, including the names and addresses of those making the comments, will form a report to be presented to South Dublin County Council, and will form part of a public document.
