NOTICE OF PROPOSED MATERIAL ALTERATIONS TO THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO. 1 OF THE BALLYCULLEN – OLDCOURT LOCAL AREA PLAN (2014)


Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 20(3)(e) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) that South Dublin County Council proposes to make alterations to the Proposed Amendment No. 1 of the Ballycullen – Oldcourt Local Area Plan (2014).

The proposed alterations would, if made, be a Material Alteration of the Proposed Amendment No. 1 of the Ballycullen – Oldcourt Local Area Plan (2014), which was previously on display from the 15th December 2016 to the 9th February 2017 and was subject to a Council meeting on the 13th March 2017 during which it was decided to materially alter the Proposed Amendment No. 1.
In accordance with Section 20(f) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), the Planning Authority, having carried out screening of the proposed material alterations, has determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and an Appropriate Assessment (AA) are not required in respect of the Proposed Material Alterations.

Information
A copy of the Proposed Material Alterations Report and the SEA and AA Screening Reports on the Proposed Material Alterations may be inspected during normal office opening hours, from Thursday 23rd March to Tuesday 25th April 2017 inclusive (excluding Public Holidays) at the following locations:
• South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
• County Library, Library Square, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
• The Park Community Centre, Ballycragh Park, Dublin 24
• Ballyroan Library, Orchardstown Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
The documents are also available to view on the Council’s Public Consultation Portal website http://consult.sdublincoco.ie
Council staff will also be available to answer general queries on the Proposed Material Alterations to the Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Local Area Plan every Wednesday afternoon between 2.00p.m. - 4.00p.m. at the County Hall, Tallaght, during the public consultation period, or by phone at 01 4149000.


Submissions
Submissions and observations on the Proposed Material Alterations to the Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Local Area Plan  and the SEA and AA Screening Reports can be made online and in writing to the addresses below between Thursday 23rd March to Tuesday 25th April 2017 inclusive (excluding Public Holidays) as follows;
 Online: at https://consult.sdublincoco.ie/en/browse up to Midnight on the Tuesday 25th April 2017
• By Post: In writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Forward Planning Section, Land Use Planning & Transport Department, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 up to 4pm on the Tuesday 25th April 2017.


Only submissions received by Tuesday 25th April 2017 and addressed as set out above, will be considered. Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other postal address.
Submissions and observations should state the name, address, and where relevant the body represented. All comments including the names and addresses of those making the comments, submitted to the Council in regard to the Proposed Material Alterations to the Proposed Amendment No. 1 will form part of a report to be presented to South Dublin County Council, and will form part of a public document.

Children, or groups or associations representing children, are entitled to make submissions or observations. Submissions and observations will be taken into consideration in deciding upon the Proposed Material Alterations to the Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Local Area Plan.
