Proposed Amendment No.1 to Ballycullen-Oldcourt Local Area Plan 2014

South Dublin County Council have prepared Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Ballycullen-Oldcourt Local Area Plan 2014.

The proposed amendment will compromise of:
• Relocation of the requirement for the first primary school from Phase 2 to Phase 3
• Provide for an additional phase (Phase 4) which aligns the provision of a second primary school with a quantum of housing units

The full text of the Proposed Amendment, details of the environmental assessments for the Proposed Amendment and information on how to make a submission/observation are detailed below.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT No. 1 TO THE BALLYCULLEN – OLDCOURT LOCAL AREA PLAN (2014)

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 20(1) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) that South Dublin County Council, being the Planning Authority for the County has prepared a Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Ballycullen – Oldcourt Local Area Plan (2014).

A Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report has been prepared and the Proposed Amendment No. 1 has undergone Appropriate Assessment Screening under the Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC). It has been determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment and Appropriate Assessment are not required to be carried out for the Proposed Amendment No. 1.

Information
The public consultation will take place from 15th December 2016 to 9th February 2017 inclusive.   Information material can be viewed on the Council’s Public Consultation Portal website http://consult.sdublincoco.ie and can also be viewed at the County Library and County Hall, Tallaght, the Park Community Centre, Ballycragh Park and Whitechurch Library, Taylor’s Lane, Ballyboden during normal opening hours [excluding public holidays].
Council staff will also be available to answer general queries on the Proposed Amendment to the Local Area Plan every Wednesday afternoon between 2.00p.m. - 4.00p.m. at County Hall, Tallaght, during the public consultation. Submissions
Submissions and observations on the Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Ballycullen – Oldcourt Local Area Plan 2014 and the SEA and AA Screening Reports can be made online and in writing to the addresses below between the 15th December 2016 and 9th February 2017 inclusive.
Submissions and observations should state the name, address, and where relevant the body represented. All comments including the names and addresses of those making the comments, submitted to the Council in regard to the Proposed Amendment will form part of a report to be presented to South Dublin County Council, and will form part of a public document.

Children, or groups or associations representing children, are entitled to make submissions or observations. Submissions and observations will be taken into consideration in deciding upon the Proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Local Area Plan.

Only submissions received by 4.00pm on the 9th February 2017, and addressed as set out below, will be considered. Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other postal address.
