This Draft Litter Managment Plan is for the period 2020-2024
It is a statutory plan prepared as prescribed in Section 10 of the Litter Pollution Act 1997, as amended.
The plan proposes to address the negative impacts of litter on our county, improve the quality of life and sense of wellbeing of our residents, and enhance our commerical and tourism potential through the effective and efficient:-
enforcement of legislation and regulation
management and maintenance of our public realm
communication, education and awareness
As part of the consultation process the Draft Plan is now on public display, and the Council welcomes written submissions/comments/ideas in relation to the Draft Plan from Community, Voluntary and Representative Bodies including Residents’ Associations, Tidy Towns, Chamber of Commerce etc., as well as from members of the general public.
