This Draft Litter Management Plan is a statutory plan prepared as prescribed in Section 10 of the Litter Pollution Act 1997, as amended.
The plan proposes to address the negative impacts of litter on our county, improve the quality of life and sense of wellbeing of our residents, and enhance our commercial and tourism potential through the effective and efficient:
Enforcement of legislation and regulation
Management and maintenance of our public realm
Communication, education and awareness to the local public
As part of the consultation process, the Draft Plan is now on public display and the Council welcomes written submissions/comments/ideas in relation to the Draft Plan from Community, Voluntary and Representative Bodies including Residents’ Associations, Tidy Towns, Chamber of Commerce etc., as well as from individual members of the public.
The final date and time for receipt of submissions or observations on the draft plan is 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday the 19th of September 2023
Submissions or observations may be made on the consultation portal until 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday the 19th of September 2023
