CANAL LOOP – URBAN GREENWAY CONCEPT ROUTE

The first stage in considering an Urban Greenway between the Grand Canal and Lucan Village is underway. South Dublin County Council is asking people to have their say on a 4.2-kilometre section of Emerging Concept Route that has been identified for pedestrians and cyclists. The link at the very bottom of this page provides access to a Virtual Consultation Room (VCR), which contains online display material on the work carried out so far.

This room will be available to view for a period of six weeks from 9th March until 19th April (inclusive). A series of public consultation workshops will also take place online on the following dates:

  • Thursday 11th March 2021 @ 12:30pm
  • Thursday 18th March 2021 @ 5:30
  • Tuesday 23rd March 2021 @ 6:30 pm
  • Thursday 25th March 2021 @ 1pm

For those unable to attend live events, a recording of the presentation is available to view through the following link: https://youtu.be/oeyYxcafRms

To have your say on the emerging concept route, please partake in the online survey contained in the VCR. The survey can be accessed directly with this link: https://connectthedots.typeform.com/to/buuFQFSD

Pupils that attend local schools can also have their say by interacting with a specially designed survey call a Youth Conversation Kit. This survey can be found in the Youth Area of the VCR and can also be accessed directly with this linkhttps://conversationkit.design/conversation/CanalLoopLucan
