I would like to make a submission against the proposals to enhance Lucan village. We have a lovely historic village & I am very concerned that we will loose this if we try to make it look like a "generic" new village. I also disagree with the removal of parking spaces in the village as this will make it very difficult to access medical care for many people as their GP is in the Main Street. Yes the village needs some work done & I welcome some of the plans to enhance the village green but let's not loose our village atmosphere completely. A village needs to cater for all ages, we don't want to encourage anti social behaviour by having the village empty of some through traffic. Please consult more with Lucan residents before any big decisions are made.
