My name is Colm Garvey representing a local transport lobbying group called "Future of Dublin".
The motivation behind our submission is threefold:
1) To contribute an idea to the "10 minute neighbourhood" objective
2) To receive South Dublin County Councils support as we lobby the NTA for our Bus Connects amendment
3) To increase the SDCC Target Mode Share for "Bus" from a mere 20% to over >23%
Proposal:
1) Addition of new S5 orbital bus route along the R112 (Walkinstown Avenue-Dundrum) to be added to New Dublin Bus Area Network as part of Bus Connects Network Redesign and single fare structure.
2) Addition of segregated cycle paths along R112 similar to what has been achieved on Braemor Road section with added separation between Bus Stops and cyclists.
