Retain St Edmundsbury as High Amenity
Caibidil:

Ábhair:
MA6.1

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally express my strong support for the proposed material alteration to retain the St. Edmundsbury lands under their existing High Amenity zoning designation.

I fully endorse the Council's decision to protect these lands from residential development for the following reasons:

  • Ecology and Protection: Retaining the High Amenity designation safeguards a critical biodiversity corridor and vital green buffer zone immediately adjacent to the Liffey Valley.
  • Infrastructure Relief: Local roads (N4, R136), schools, and healthcare services are heavily overstrained and cannot absorb dense residential units at this location.
  • Community Well-being: Preserving this space ensures future generations in Lucan retain access to invaluable natural landscape and open amenities.

I request that the Council formally adopt this alteration as written and finalise the protection of the St. Edmundsbury lands.

Yours sincerely,

Maria Luisa Guerriero
