Adamstown has been growing at an incredible pace but the infrastructure has not kept pace. The Newcastle Road is overused at the best of times and this will only get worse if a new development gets built at Finnstown Castle. 

There is also already a great demand for childcare places, schools etc. and this will only put more pressure on these services, not even taking into account all the developments at Clonburris.

Finnstown and Adamstown consist of mostly new housing estates and need to keep some historical heritage to give people a connection to the area and its history. Finnstown Castle is a landmark, a beautiful green area with a nice hotel which is a landmark in the area. It should be used for weddings, local events and as a hotel. It is a lovely place to walk with kids and admire the nature, we don't have enough of this in the area. I know it is important to build homes for people but not at the expense of an area's historical heritage.
