As a resident of Adamstown since 2017, I have seen the Adamstown/Finnstown area grow massively in the last few years, with almost all new developments being residential.
Thousands of homes have been built since 2017, with incredibly little advances in facilities and infrastructure.
There is a single gym in the area, which costs €99/month and does not have the capacity to meet the needs of the area.
Schools and creches are also at capacity.
Morning and evening trains are completely full with people standing in the aisles between seats, and sitting on the floor.
I am for retaining the Finnstown Castle grounds as a green space, and not turning them into high-density housing estates. The Adamstown area needs more green spaces and amenities, and the infrastructure for even more residents is simply not there.
