The area in and around Coldcut Road is in great need of creative and supportive public recreation facilities, such as might include options like public allotments (with huge waiting lists in SDCC), community gardens, enhanced play-spaces, inclusive disability services and more sports facilities for the public. 
The impact on people's quality of life is great when their access to nature, welcoming and inclusive spaces and services and open space is removed from their options and Coldcut would greatly benefit by adding to, not removing, open space and resources for the wider community. 

I fully support the retention of the recent decision by SDCC Councillors to vote against rezoning these lands for residential purposes and feel that the overwhelming public response during consultation against residential rezoning should be respected.
