MA3.1
- I fully support the decision not to rezone the lands at Finnstown Castle and support MA3.1 to retain the decision by the elected officials.
- The lands at Finnstown should be zoned High Amenity. The surrounding area:
- Is already heavily congested with traffic,
- Lacks adequate green space relative to its existing and future population, and
- Functions as a much-needed open buffer and wildlife corridor in an increasingly built-up part of Lucan.
- Further residential zoning would worsen congestion, reduce accessible recreation space, and strain services. This would again be opposite to compact, transport-oriented policy unless enabling transport capacity is real, and more importantly, delivered.
