I support Proposed Material Alteration 6.1 retaining the High Amenity (HA-LV) zoning at St Edmundsbury.

The existing High Amenity designation provides an important strategic safeguard for the Liffey Valley landscape. Once residential zoning is introduced, that strategic protection is fundamentally changed and cannot easily be restored.

The previous proposal relied on future masterplans, park provision and development conditions to mitigate the effects of development. While these measures may improve the quality of development, they cannot replace the certainty provided by retaining the existing High Amenity designation.

Planning decisions affecting lands of this importance should be made as part of a comprehensive strategy for the wider Liffey Valley rather than through piecemeal amendments affecting individual sites.

For these reasons I support retaining the existing HA-LV zoning.
