Hello, I strongly believe that the lands at St Edmunsbury Lucan must be retained as a high amenity  area in order to meet our aims and commitments around air and water quality as well as habitat conservation and development. As you are aware a Lucan and surrounding areas in west Dublin have already taken the lions share of housing development in Dublin and further development will only make the area an ecological dead zone. The extensive lands at st Ed’s give people and animals a much needed break from the stress and overwhelm of living in a high density area. St Ed’s is used and beloved by a huge number of local residents and once it’s gone it’s gone for ever. As we can see from recent Summer heatwaves we need more trees and green areas to ward off the worst of the Summer heat and droughts. Please retain these important lands for future generations to live and enjoy. The sustainability and health of our future depends on small urban oasis like these.
