I Gráinne Nic Chárthaigh, strongly support retaining St. Edmundsbury as High Amenity lands.

St. Edmundsbury is an extremely valuable natural space that supports local irish wildlife, preserves biodiversity, and provides an important green area for the local community. As major development continues across Lucan, protecting and preserving the few green spaces that remain is more important than ever. Once our green spaces are taken from us, they cannot be given back.

Retaining St. Edmundsbury aligns with the National Planning Framework's goals of protecting biodiversity, strengthening green infrastructure, and supporting community wellbeing. It will help preserve the charming character of Lucan and ensure that the children of tomorrow's Lucan can continue to enjoy natural green spaces.

I respectfully urge and encourage the South Dublin County Council to continue to retain and protect St. Edmundsbury for the benefit of residents, wildlife, along with the future generations of Lucan and South Dublin.

Thank you for considering my submission. It is very much so appreciated

Gráinne Nic Chárthaigh

(Grace)
