I support the retaining of St Edmundsbury as a high amenity land for the following reasons;

It complies with the National Planning Framework enhanced amenity, preserving heritage, and a way of transitioning to a climate resilient society.

Compliance with NPF; green infrastructure aligns with NPFs focus on biodiversity, climate action, natural capital.
Development would sever ecological corridors and damage the landscapes integrity.

We seriously need to stop and think about how we are reacting to this housing crisis. Are we as a nation to be bullied by developers? Will we look back in 50 years in horror at what we’ve destroyed. What about the thousands of of vacant properties dragging down our beautiful city. Wouldn’t that be s beautiful way to revitalise our city. In a space which already has infrastructure in place?

Lucan and the surrounding areas have already contributed more than their share to the housing plans

regardless of that St Edmundsbury is currently an unspoilt space and part of the protected Liffey valley corridor. It is a haven for wildlife, nature and humans alike.

please preserve this space for future generations
