I wish to express my support for the decision of the elected members of SDCC to reject the proposed residential rezoning of the lands at St Edmundsbury, Lucan under Proposed Variation No 2 to the SDCC Development Plan 2022-28 and to retain their existing High Amenity (HA-LV) zoning of this land.

Noting the National Planning Policy now places greater weight on landscape and biodiversity I repectfully request that SDCC uphold the decision of our elected representatives and also adhere to the said policy. 

SDCC has already identified sufficient residential capacity that exceeds the Government's baseline housing requirement. Therefore, I believe there is no compelling planning justification to remove the long-established High Amenity protection from these lands at St Edmundsbury.
