Coldcut should not be rezoned for property development. This facility should be kept for community use as a sporting facility, recreational activities and local social facilities.  There are many sporting clubs in the area that are located in disadvantaged areas and these clubs provide valuable programs that reduce anti-social behaviours in the community.

Coldcut could be used active aging programs for which there is a huge appetite in the surrounding areas. It could be used for adult education, training for special needs youths and adults, counselling,  youth clubs, civic and social events.
 

This is a great opportunity for SDCC to provide the above and more for the surrounding areas and SDCC should purchase the land to ensure that local communities have these much needed community services.
