I wish to formally object to the proposed development at St. Edmundsbury, Lucan, on a number of grounds. The scale and density of the proposed development are excessive and out of character with the existing residential area, and would result in a loss of privacy, daylight, and amenity for neighbouring properties. The local road network and public transport services are already at capacity, and the additional traffic generated would exacerbate existing congestion and create safety hazards for pedestrians and cyclists. Existing infrastructure, including water, drainage, and sewage capacity, is insufficient to accommodate a development of this size, raising concerns about flooding and surface water management. The proposal would also place further strain on local schools, healthcare services, and community facilities, which are already under pressure. Furthermore, the development poses a risk to local biodiversity, mature trees, and green space, contrary to the principles of sustainable development. For these reasons, I respectfully request that the application be refused.
