I wish to make a submission in support of the recent decision by the democratically elected members of SDCC to exclude St Edmundsbury from the proposal to rezone land for residential purposes around Lucan. It seems undemocratic for this decision of the elected representatives to be ignored. The submissions made by approx 1,500 residents of the Lucan area in the previous consultation still stand against the proposal to change part of St Edmundsbury from high amenity to residential.
