I support the need for housing, but our area cannot continue to take large developments without the infrastructure needed to support them.

Residents already experience pressure on school places, GPs, childcare, roads, public transport, sports facilities and community space. There are also concerns about water pressure and wastewater capacity.

I ask the Council to strengthen MA5.1 by requiring proper infrastructure assessments, consultation with the Department of Education and Uisce Éireann, and clear phasing so essential facilities are delivered alongside any new homes.

This is not opposition to housing. It is a request for fair and sustainable planning for both existing and future residents. There are no soccer pitches anywhere in citywest. With the size of the population this is unheard of in other areas. Why are people forgotten in this part of Dublin?
