Save St. Edmundsbury
Observation
I wish to object to any proposed rezoning or material alteration to the land use at St. Edmundsbury, Lucan.
The lands have been an integral part of Lucan for centuries. Since I moved here in the 1970s, I have witnessed Lucan changing from a country village to a sprawling urban commuter town. St. Edmundsbury is one of the last remaining areas that has been untouched by developers and should remain so. Without areas like St. Ed's, Lucan would lose a part of its DNA and a cherished natural area that is important to local residents. Green lung areas give important respite to the overdevelopment which has occurred in Lucan. You can build green spaces to try and appease locals, but if you are destroying true nature in the process, you really need to think about the legacy of your choices. I wholeheartedly object to any development at St.Edmundsbury.
