I wish to strongly object to any development on St. Edmundsbury Lucan as this green space is essential for the environment. Green spaces are vital to the health and well being of all living species and are disappearing rapidly in urban areas. It is essential that this area of natural beauty is preserved for the mental health and well-being of all the community in an area that is dominated by houses and traffic.
Lucan has been developing over the last 50 years and yet despite the growth in population there is still a very poor public transport system and now with developments at Adamstown, Clonburris etc the traffic is getting infinitely worse with the resulting affects on the health and wellbeing of local people. Hence further developments on the remaining green spaces should be curtailed until services have improved to cope with the growth in population
