I support the retaining of St Edmundsbury as an area of high amenity as voted by the council on the 19th of June. Any proposed rezoning has to be rejected especially on environmental grounds. The National Planning Framework recognises the importance of bio diversity natural habitats and green areas to combat climate change. Air quality is improved when you have green areas.
I live in Lucan and the sense of well being afforded by this beautiful peaceful area cannot be measured in any monetary terms. It is home to such varied wildlife animals, birds and insects an amazing ecosystem. The community of Lucan value the importance of St Edmundsbury and want to preserve its heritage.
We all have a responsibility to try and safeguard the natural environment for future generations.
