I welcome the proposed provision of an all-weather pitch as the kind of amenity this part of Clondalkin needs. However, I have significant concerns about the impact the proposal will have on local access along Knockmeenagh Road - currently a quiet residential street with limited industrial/commerical traffic. It also seems likely to intensify the bottlenecks that already exist at New Road, Caldbeck Way and Fonthill Road. 

More broadly, in the absence of upgrades to public infrastructure to support a higher local population, I have concerns about the ability of this location to facilitate further residential development. At present Luas capacity is strained, we see regular power cuts, DART+ has been delayed indefinitely, and the village remains congested. I am firmly in favour of new housing, but concerned about the pace of development within Clondalkin over the past 2-3 years without a corresponding investment in resources to support our community's growth.
