Objection to making Dodder Rd Lower one way for cars

I am not against cycle schemes but object to making Dodder Rd Lower one way for cars because of the highly detrimental affect this will have as a result of massively increased traffic flows on surrounding residential roads, particularly Braemor Park but also Woodside Drive and Riverside Drive, and other adjoining roads. Traffic at present ( which is extremely heavy in the mornings and evenings) proceeds both ways on Dodder Rd Lower, a non- residential road.

I also use the no14 bus and this will suffer what could be serious delays as a result of heavier  traffic on Braemor Park. Furthermore, the sharp left hand bend going towards Braemor Rd will create additional problems.
Can the bridge across the Dodder not be improved to allow cyclists proceed through the Orwell/Dodder Park on the High School side of the river? I walk this area every day with my dog and this is the route - through the park - that is  being taken by most cyclists anyway - why change it/ why indeed not  improve it - and leave Dodder Rd Lower 2 way for cars thus making it safer for residents (and children going to and from school) by keeping high volumes of vehicular traffic away from surrounding residential roads?
